Twins

The concept of my project is to explore the differences between myself and my twin brother- Adam, as we were growing up and how I was able to become more independent as we got older. This initial concept developed into having metaphors on screen, shown as individual planets, which describe the contrasts between us and myself as we grew up. Each planet houses a metaphor which links to and depicts the narration in the voiceover. My inspiration for this project was to give an insight into life as a twin, especially twins that are dissimilar and have very different personalities. I wanted people to be able to relate to my film if they were always known as 'the quiet one', or if not, I wanted to give a better understanding of people like myself.

My goals for the Major Project were to take my concepts, pre visualisations and models made in the Premise and Minor Projects and produce a short film. Along with collating everything I have created over these projects into a concise Making Of book which showcases my work. I wanted the film to showcase my models and the skills I have with modelling, texturing and animating. Additionally, a goal was to have demo reels which showcase my two characters and all of the props I have created for the metaphor planets.

The agreed outcomes for the Major Project were to have a Post-Viz version of my film, a document showcasing Lighting and Rendering Examples, a Making Of book, demo reels for each for my characters and a prop demo reel.
