Summer Work: Redesigning- Flowers and webs metaphor

Flowers and webs metaphor

"When we'd visit family, my brother would do all the talking, answering everyone's questions. I'd just sit there, happy to listen to the conversation, but too caught up in a web of nervousness to contribute."

3 moving parts:

  1. flowers/ plants growing
  2. lights- turning on / flickering
  3. armchair- rocking
  • room is in darkness as the camera approaches
  • lights switch on, the room is covered in plants and flowers growing from the floor
  • the room is a living room with two sofas, a tv and stand, coffee table, floor lamp, wall lights, rug, art on the wall, cushions on the sofas and an armchair.
  • more flowers and plants sprout and grow upwards, plants climb the walls and furniture
  • the planet suddenly spins, getting faster and faster until its a blur
  • when it stops its the same room but the flowers and plants are gone
  • instead there are cobwebs covering everything
  • the lights are flickering and the armchair is rocking back and forth
