Premise: planet idea development
I have started to develop my planet idea more. Firstly, I thought about the idea of having everything all on one planet, where the camera moves through everything focusing on different parts for the different metaphors. At the end it would be revealed that everything is on this one planet to symbolize that this is what makes up me and my life.
I then spoke to Alan about all of my ideas including the one above, the idea about having separate platforms or planets for the metaphors and having things flip and disappear etc. We also discussed whether I should keep the isometric style or whether its holding me back but I think I would like to keep it, but maybe at some points when the camera is on a planet it could break the isometric view.![]() |

This is a sketch of what it could look like if the platforms were more like spherical planets instead of being flat. Also there's the idea of having the tree for the butterfly metaphor also on the central planet, but that the planet spins and flips to reveal the tree.
Also, there's this idea of having the central planet which holds the characters and the butterfly metaphor, and then the butterfly flies out to each of the metaphors which are on the platforms:
So this is my basic idea so far:
This is the idea of how as the butterfly and camera approaches the platform things can fall away to reveal things such as two walls of the house fall away to reveal the inside of the house and what is happening inside:
The animation would end with the butterfly returning to the central planet, to me and my brother and somehow becomes part of me to show that all these things make up me.
