In my title credits I have 3 characters- the 2 white characters that run across the place names, and the red character that falls from the place name as the gunshot sounds. I only need to create one character and then I can just duplicate and change the colour where necessary.
I started by drawing out my character in photoshop in the side profile as this is the one view I am going to need of my character
I then took this image into Maya as an image plane to map out the geometry needed for the character. I then laid out the UVs and used a projection to get the correct scale. I then used photoshop to create the textures by creating alpha channels for the transparency.

I then plugged these textures into the planes in Maya. I then created the skeleton for the character, and have done the basic skinning.
