Character Design Project: Facial Expressions & Layout

Firstly, this is a page of facial expressions for my character. Obviously you can't see much of his face as he is wearing a helmet and so I focused on the eyes to convey expression.

Then I moved on to planning the layout of my character within his environment:

With colour

With colour and clean lines

With lines to make it fit into the 'stain glass' style

These are all very rough images but they have really helped me to visualise my character and his environment and have helped me to think more about fitting it into the style of 'stain glass'.
