Life Drawing ~ Reflective Statement

Over the course of year 1, I feel like I was able to develop a lot when it came to my drawing skills. Each week I tried to use a variety of materials, trying out some I had never properly used before, like inks for example. At the beginning of the year I was quite careful and precise, but now I have learnt to draw more freely and expressively. Also I feel like over the year I have become better at getting the proportions and the pose of the model correct. Some of my favourite drawings are the ones done in a few minutes with really loose marks. Overall, I feel like I have definitely improved since September, and next year I hope to improve even further.
