Soundscapes- Reflective Statement
I found this project quite challenging as I had not tried to create sounds in this way before, as well as having to learn how to use Adobe Audition well enough to be able to edit the sounds in the way that I wanted to.
I started by creating lists of words that related to my images, and then after narrowing them down I started to think about what could make sounds that related to each of these words.
I then recorded all of the sounds that I had thought of. I then took these into Adobe Audition and started to edit each sound clip individually. I put at least one effect on a lot of them, and also altered the length/ repetitiveness of some of them.
I found that I didn't actually end up using all of the sounds that I had recorded for each image as once I had started editing them, and putting them together I realised that the soundscapes would have been too crowded with more than about 8 different sounds.
I am relatively happy with how they turned out, although I think my limited knowledge of Adobe Audition may have meant that they could have been edited together a bit better had my knowledge been more advanced. Overall though, I am happy with the final outcomes seeing as at the beginning of the project I had no idea how I would create sounds for my images as there was so many different ways you could interpret each image.
