    Hey Em,

I think you're definitely onto something here with the idea of a character doing a 'boring job' in an exciting place. But I wonder if you're 'using' the fact that you've got 'identical' twins enough to your story's advantage? Right now, your story would work just as well if the siblings were non-identical in so much as one character is alerted to the presence of another and then they find each other. Is there an argument for using your identical characters as a more proactive plot-device - so one sibling taking the place of another or taking on the other's role. I wonder if the 'cleaner twin' might be jealous of or resent the other twin if they were, for example, the star of the circus - the girl on the white horse, the handsome trapeze artist etc? Right now I don't there's any actual conflict in your story - or tension - there's a twist, yes, but could that twist be even 'twistier?' There's something glimmering away at the heart of your premise that is 'about' your twin characters - about understanding how they might feel about each other, how twins can be mistaken for one another, and how, if their lives are so identical, what might it be like to have very different lives from one another? I think that's your story right there...
