Animation 06: Walk Cycle

In today's animation lesson we had to create a walk cycle using a simple stick man
I used different colours for the right and left arms and legs, and the torso, head and hips to make it easier to animate the different parts.
I used curves as guides to how the head and hips move as the person walks (although they don't line up in this screenshot because this was after I had moved each frame so it fits together)
I started by creating a basic walk cycle of one leg going from behind to infront, which I could then base the rest of the walk cycle off by repeating it for the other leg and then repeating that over and over again until the person successfully walks across the screen.

This is the final walk cycle shown as onion skin. You can see how the legs on each frame line up with each other so that the person walks smoothly, and you can also clearly see the curved lines that the head and hips follow as the person walks.
