'What If Metropolis' Artist!

Yesterday was the briefing for our second project 'What If Metropolis'!

This project requires you to pick, at random, a 'production design collaborator' who you should base your designs on, so the artist I will be 'collaborating' with is:

Joan Miró

Joan Miró was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist
Born: 1893, Died: 1983

"Conducting his own Surrealism-inspired exploration, Miró invented a new kind of pictorial space in which carefully rendered objects issuing strictly from the artist's imagination are juxtaposed with basic, recognizable forms - a sickle moon, a simplified dog, a ladder. There is the sense that they have always coexisted both in the material realm and in the shallow pictorial space of Miró's art." (The Art Story)

Some examples of his work:
I will be doing a lot more in depth research into Joan Miró and his work, so I can start creating a concept for my city and start thumbnailing!
